 DAY 1: DEPARTMENT FROM ZGUID FOUM  VISIT THE STONE 
 
 
 In this area of ​​the Foum zguid Sahara, life clings to the smallest boundaries but  still has some traces of prehistoric times. 
 Foum Zguid is the gateway to the Sahara of Lake Iriki and the Chegaga Sahara. Lake Iriki Desert has many rock carving sites  that are definitely worth a visit. It reflects the way of life of the nomads  and provides rich information about  previous generations and the lives of past nomads. We will start our lap at 9:00 am from Foum Zguid and driving south we will cross the Elmadouar mountains (mountain of tagine) to reach the old track of Dakar Rally. Then we turn left in this direction towards the  tirikit. After arriving at lmagsam, we will have a 30-minute break to visit the rock sculptures in  Sahara on Lake Iriki.  
 This prehistoric heritage will give you a first impression of the life of the Saharan nomads in  pre-literary history.  
 We will continue through the  Dakar Rally to Fossils where we will have our second stop. We will then cross the dried up Iriki Lake to  Bivouac les Nomades - an authentic campsite in the middle of the desert dunes of Lake Iriki Sahara. 
 The night you will stay in this desert camp near the largest sand dune of Lake Iriki called Erg Elmhazil.

 Your meeting will take place with your desert guide at the foum zguid. Before embarking on a desert tour, head to Erg Elmhazil, one of the largest sand dunes in Morocco. The first small break will be to see the magical view of the tagine mountain called Elmadouar sghiir. You'll then visit the fossil plateau, before crossing the dry lake known as Lake Iriki. After crossing  half of the  lake iriki plateau. You'll enjoy driving deep into the  dunes towards Bivouac les nomades. The camel team will be waiting  to take you after enjoying a cup of tea at the large iriki sand dunes to watch the sunset. Here, we will disembark from the 4×4 and meet the camels to begin our journey in the desert to the Jnane Chebbi oasis. 
 It will take us 3 hours to reach the Chebbi oasis. We will spend the night at the top of Jebel Bani (mountain).

Day 1: FOUM ZGUID TO BIVOUAC LES NOMADES DESERT CAMP

Did you ever heard about or see that there are swimming pools in the desert? There are!

Don't waste this chance to explore something very different in the desert. We will pick you up with the 4x4 car and bring you to Bivouac les Nomades. After you reach our desert camp in the middle of the dunes of lake Iriki, in the south side of the big dune called Erg Elmhazil. You will pass a wonderful night in the authentic desert camp, build by the Nomads of the desert of Foum Zguid. You will enjoy the magical sunset from the top of the big dunes of lake Iriki. What this sunset makes so special is that you have the combination of the endless waves of sand dunes, the view to the dry lake Iriki and the mountains of Jebel Bani.

DAY 2: FROM BIVOUAC LES NOMADES TO THE VOLCANIC MOUNTAIN

You will start with the camels in the direction to the volcanic mountain where you will enjoy a special day in the desert swimming pool.
This is one of the most amazing experience you can have in the desert.

There is nothing better than looking to the sun set from the big volcanic mountain (gelb jmel), the nomads call this mountain the camel heart mountain.

You will also see how the nomads survive in the desert, how they bake the bread in the desert and how they treat the camels!

In the night you will sleep in a small tent or out side with the stars and the clear milky way above you. 

DAY 3: VOLCANIC MOUNTAIN TO THE VILLAGE OF ZAWIAT SIDI ABD ENBI

Next morning, after breakfast we will walk in the direction to the stone painting. These paintings are very old and rare to find. By discovering these paintings you will have a better image of the deserts history.
After we will continue our desert trekking to the paradise oasis and pass the night in the village of Zawiat Sidi abd Enbi in a traditional house made out from clay. 

DAY 4: FROM THE VILLAGE OF ZAWIAT SIDI ABD ENBI BACK TO FOUM ZGUID


The next morning you will have the last breakfast of our desert trekking tour. Your 4x4 car will be ready to bring you back safely back to Foum Zguid. Back to Foum Zguid you have the chance to discover the old Kasbah of Oumhansh.

 DAY 1: FROM MARRAKECH TO CAO ATLAS  - AIT BEN HADDOU - OURAZAZATE 
 
 
 Your departure will be from your accommodation at 8:30am. 
 First we have to cross the High Atlas Mountains. The Tizi-n-Tischka Pass is the highest pass  in North Africa and is worth stopping for a photo. After a few kilometers, we will leave the main road to visit the Kasbah of Telouet, which is a very old Kasbah belonging to the Glaoui family.  We climbed through the Ounila valley and you could see the small Berber villages, the small kasbah and the gardens until we reached Ait Ben Haddou.  You will have a  lunch break before visiting Ait Ben Haddou's Kasbah. 
 After you return, we will continue to Ouarzazate, where we will spend the first night.  

 DAY 2: OUARZAZATE TO ZAGORA AND M´HAMID EL GHIZLANE 
  
 After  breakfast in Ourazazate, we will begin the second day of the desert excursion to Zagora.  You will be amazed at the number of palm trees and oases in the Draa Valley. They will be with us all the way,  from Agdz. Along the way, you'll have a short visit to Tamnougalt's Kasbah. We will also pass through the beautiful villages of Tansikht and Tinsouline before reaching the largest town in the region, Zagora.  Here we will have a  break for lunch. 
  In Tamgroute, we will visit pottery workshops and  the old Koran library.  
 We will also pass Tagnite to reach the desert gate  M´hmid el Ghizlane. Here comes the end of the asphalt. Tonight, you will sleep in a beautiful unique campsite in the M'hamid sand dunes. 
 
 DAY 3: M´HAMID EL GHIZLANE TO ERG CHEGAGA 
  
 We will start the day with  breakfast in the desert camp. 
 Deserts are not just the big sand dunes that visitors think of. It is a mixture of Hamada (rock desert), oasis, flat land and mountains. All  this you can see in this area. 
 We will take a 4x4 car and reach Erg Chegaga in 2 hours. Here, you will spend the third night in a standard desert camp. 
  In the evening, you'll ride a camel  to watch the sunset atop the largest sand dune in Morocco, Erg Chegaga. 
  Day 4: From the sand dunes of Erg Chegaga  to Lake Iriki - Foum Zguid, Taznaght, return to Marrakech 
  
 
 After having our last breakfast in Morocco's Sahara desert, we will cross the Chegaga sand dunes  to reach the dry and salty Lake Iriki. We will  stop in the middle of the lake for a cup of tea with the local nomads of Lake Iriki at the terrace of the Titanic restaurant. 
 After that, we will continue to Foum Zguid for lunch at a cafe called Chegaga.

 Your departure will be from your accommodation at 8:30am. 
 First we have to cross the High Atlas Mountains. The Tizi-n-Tischka Pass is the highest pass  in North Africa and is worth stopping for a photo. After a few kilometers, we will leave the main road to visit the Kasbah of Telouet, which is a very old Kasbah belonging to the Glaoui family.  We climbed through the Ounila valley and you could see the small Berber villages, the small kasbah and the gardens until we reached Ait Ben Haddou.  You will have a  lunch break before visiting Ait Ben Haddou's Kasbah. 
 After you return, we will continue to Ouarzazate, where we will spend the first night.  

 DAY 2: OUARZAZATE TO ZAGORA AND M´HAMID EL GHIZLANE 
  
 After  breakfast in Ourazazate, we will begin the second day of the desert excursion to Zagora.  You will be amazed at the number of palm trees and oases in the Draa Valley. They will be with us all the way,  from Agdz. Along the way, you'll have a short visit to Tamnougalt's Kasbah. We will also pass through the beautiful villages of Tansikht and Tinsouline before reaching the largest town in the region, Zagora.  Here we will have a  break for lunch. 
  In Tamgroute, we will visit pottery workshops and  the old Koran library.  
 We will also pass Tagnite to reach the desert gate  M´hmid el Ghizlane. Here comes the end of the asphalt. Tonight, you will sleep in a beautiful unique campsite in the M'hamid sand dunes. 
 
 DAY 3: M´HAMID EL GHIZLANE TO ERG CHEGAGA 
  
 We will start the day with  breakfast in the desert camp. 
 Deserts are not just the big sand dunes that visitors think of. It is a mixture of Hamada (rock desert), oasis, flat land and mountains. All  this you can see in this area. 
 We will take a 4x4 car and reach Erg Chegaga in 2 hours. Here, you will spend the third night in a standard desert camp. 
  In the evening, you'll ride a camel  to watch the sunset atop the largest sand dune in Morocco, Erg Chegaga. 
  Day 4: From the sand dunes of Erg Chegaga  to Lake Iriki - Foum Zguid, Taznaght, return to Marrakech 
  
 
 After having our last breakfast in Morocco's Sahara desert, we will cross the Chegaga sand dunes  to reach the dry and salty Lake Iriki. We will  stop in the middle of the lake for a cup of tea with the local nomads of Lake Iriki at the terrace of the Titanic restaurant. 
 After that, we will continue to Foum Zguid for lunch at a cafe called Chegaga.

 This short desert excursion from Marrakech will take you to the truly great desert  dunes of Lake Iriki. The perfect trip for all travelers who have little time but still want to experience the real desert. In the morning, your driver and guide will pick you up from your hotel/Riad or nearby to begin your desert excursion to Lake Iriki. Lake Iriki and the great sand dunes of Erg Elmhazil are just 367 km  from Marrakech. The Lake Iriki Desert is the closest desert to Marrakech. Along the way, we will have several stops in the High Atlas Mountains to take pictures and  rest before continuing towards Foum Zguid. There we will have  lunch. Only 1 km after Foum Zguid, we will leave the asphalt road and begin our adventure in the desert. From now on we will only go on the rails. 
 Our first stop will be near Mount Tajine  in a beautiful oasis in the middle of nowhere. We will then continue towards Lake Iriki with a stop at the fossil site. 
 It was impressive to drive to the great dry lake Iriki. In the middle of the lake, we will turn left to enter the dune - the largest dune is named Erg Elmhazil. At the foot of these dunes you'll find your team of camels. You will climb the big sand dune to watch the sunset from there. Your camel will then take you to Bivouac les Nomades, where the local Iriki lake nomads  will greet you with a cup of tea. 
 
 At Bivouac les Nomades, you'll sleep in your own private tent. The team will cook  delicious local dishes for you.  You will enjoy  nomadic music and percussion around the bonfire. 

 DAY 2: BIVOUAC THE NOMADS - FOUM ZGUID - TAZNAGHT - MARRAKECH
