Day 1: Marrakech - Telouet - Ait Ben Haddou - Ouarzazate
Departure from Marrakech via the Tichka pass, then route to Télouet, visit of the Kasbah. Lunch in a restaurant in the High Atlas at the edge of a spring. Track from Ouarzazate through the High Atlas to Ait Ben Haddou. Visit of the most beautiful fortified village in Morocco. Night and dinner at the hotel.
Day 2: Ouarzazate - Tinghir - Erfoud - Merzouga
From Ouarzazate, crossing the valley of roses and the thousand Kasbahs. Visit and lunch in the Tinghir palm grove. Go up in the Todra gorges. Passage through Erfoud, arrived in Merzouga, camel ride. Night in a bivouac at the foot of the Erg Chebbi dunes
Day 3: Merzouga - Marrakech
After sunrise in the dunes, Departure to Tazzarine, through the beautiful desert and mountainous landscapes, Oasis, kasbah to Tansikht. And then through the Drâa valley to Agdez; We cross earthen villages and lush green crops up to Ouarzazate. Lunch and return to Marrakech by road to Tizi n’Tichka.

At 4,167m, Mount Toubkal (4,167m) is the highest mountain in North Africa. The 2 day trek from Toubkal to the summit is difficult, but it does not require any mountaineering experience and the panoramic view from the top is well worth it. With the start of the 2-day Trek Toubkal just a few hours drive from Marrakech, you can reach the top and return in 2 days of Trek Toubkal and still have time to explore Morocco's most captivating city, Marrakech.
2 Days Toubkal Trek
Day 1:
After a transfer to the little village of Imlil we begin our trek. Heading along the Mizane Valley, we first pass the village of Aremd and then onto the shrine of Sidi Chamarouch. We then continue east and by crossing the flood plains our route takes us along mule tracks and up into the high rocky cliffs above the valley. Crossing the river we eventually come to the pastoral shrine of Sidi Chamarouch, which attracts tourists and pilgrims. From here the trail continues to climb steadily, snaking and zigzagging its way up to the snowline and the Toukbal Refuge (3206m), our stop for the night.
Approx. 4 to 5hrs walking.
Day 2:
Early in the morning, we make our attempt at the summit of Jebel Toukbal, the highest peak in Northern Africa. Our route takes us up the south cirque, crossing the stream above the refuge. The walking is relatively straightforward, but the scree and the altitude will make the going quite difficult in parts. The views along the way make the journey more than worthwhile. When you reach the summit you will see that the vistas across the surrounding landscape are quite breathtaking. From here there are unrestricted views in every direction, from the Marrakesh Plain to the High Atlas in the north and as far south as the Anti-Atlas and the Sahara. We will retrace our steps when we return down the mountain and head back towards Imlil.

5 days Berber villages & valleys
Day 1:
Transfer from the airport or from your hotel in Marrakech to Imlil. From Imlil (1740m) we walk to Tacheddirt (2300m) via Tizi ‘n Tamatert (2279m) pass. We spend the night in a local gite. In summer it is also possible to spend the night in tents.Approx. 4 hours walking.
Day 2:
Today we walk from Tacheddirt to Imsker (1300m) down the Imnane valley crossing the following Berber villages: Ounskra, Tamguiste, Ikkis, Amssakrou, and Arg. We spend the night in a local gite or in tents.Day 3:
Imsker (1300m) to Tizi Oussem (1900m) via Tizi ‘n Lbour (1500m) pass, ait alivalley, Tizi ‘n Tacht pass (2000m), Ait Aissa village (Azzaden valley). You spend the night in Tizi Oussem in a local gite.
Day 4:
Tizi Oussem (1900m) to Imlil (1740m) via Ighouliden Waterfalls (2400m) and Tizi Mzik pass (2450m. From here we walk back to Imlil. Night in a guesthouse in Imlil.Day 5:
After breakfast, We shall stop at Aroumd to visit this rather singular village in the Assif Aït Mizane Valley, built seemingly house upon house on a large moraine spur, overlooking ancient irrigated terraced fields of barley, corn, and vegetables and always surrounded by almond and walnut trees. We thence carry on for another Half an Hour to get to our lunch wish will be served among a Berber family in the village of Achayn prior to setting off back down the other side of the valley back to Imlil and our return trip to Marrakech.Morocco Discovery Tour - Imperial Cities
