Marrakech overnight desert trip to Zagora

Trip Itinerary
Marrakech – High Atlas – Ouarzazate – Zagora
The first day of the Marrakech overnight desert trip to Zagora begins with breakfast at your hotel before being picked up by an air-conditioned 4WD or minivan at 8am. The eight-hour journey is pleasant and scenic, with highlights including the 2,260-meter-high Tichka pass, which provides a panoramic view of the Atlas Mountains. The guide stops for lunch and exploration of the world heritage site at Ait-Benhaddou after covering much of the Atlas mountain. Following Ait-Benhaddou, the next stop is Ouarzazate, a popular filming location for Hollywood directors. The journey will continue south to the picturesque Oasis in the Draa valley after exploring Ouarzazate. When the trip arrives in Zagora, you change the vehicle for sunset camel ride to reach the desert camp. Dinner, lodging, party, and breakfast will be provided by the camping site.
Zagora – Draa valley – Ouarzazate – Marrakech
The beautiful image of the sun rising over the small dunes of the Zagora desert greets you when you wake up early. This is followed by a traditional breakfast in the camp. The camel ride to meet your driver, who will transport you back to Marrakech, is the final portion. You will also have free time in Ouarzazate to explore the famed Kasbah of Taourirt and eat lunch in one of the local restaurants. In the afternoon, we return you to Marrakech via the Atlas Mountains, bringing your Marrakech overnight desert trip to Zagora to a close. Around 6/7 p.m., return to your lodging.

Trip Itinerary
Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas – Ouarzazate – Rose valley – Dades
At 8 a.m., we start our 3 days Marrakech Merzouga desert tour picking you up and depart Marrakech via the High Atlas Mountains. As a result, we pass through numerous Berber communities and stop at an Argan cooperative. We go uphill on the Tizi N-Tichka pass’s tortuous road. Before arriving to Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, we will halt for a panoramic view in this mountain pass. Because of its rich history and architecture, the Kasbah is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Second, we travel to Ouarzazate, also known as the Sahara Gate. It is the capital cinema, with its Atlas studios producing films. You’ll stop by this attraction before heading to Skoura and Rose Valley. After that, we travel to Dades Valley for the first night of our three-day Marrakech Desert Trip.
Day 2: Dades – Todra gorges – Berber villages – Merzouga
The second day of our 3 days Marrakech Merzouga desert tour provides the ultimate desert experience. After breakfast, we will drive to Todra Gorges, passing via the Dades Valley. Second, we stop to Todra Gorges, a rock paradise. There is free time to walk through the 300-meter-high cliffs and it’s river. Then we travel to the Berber villages of Touroug and Tinjdad. One of these villages will be our lunch stop. We also go to Erfoud and drive to Merzouga. To get to the camp, you’ll take a 1-hour and 30-minute camel ride through the desert. Following dinner, we will spend the evening with Berbers and their drumming.
Day 3: Desert – Draa valley – Ouarzazate – Marrakech
Seeing the beautiful sunrise in the desert early in the morning is a wonderful way to begin your day. You have the option of riding a camel again or driving right after breakfast at the campground. We’ll drive through Morocco’s longest palm-tree valley (Draa valley). Lunch in Nkoub or Agdez before heading to Ouarzazate. We then go to Marrakech over the High Atlas Mountains. Trip Itinerary
Day 1: From Casablanca to Marrakech
The first day of the Sahara Tour from Casablanca to Fes 5 offers a visit to the Medina. We will meet you at your accommodation and drive to the old Medina. You will walk through the Medina and have an insight into some tourist attractions, and then we take you to the Hassan II Mosque. It is the largest mosque in Africa where non-Muslim tourists can visit it. Thereafter, we drive you to Marrakech and spend a night in a Riad.
Day 2: Marrakech City Tour
On this second day of our Sahara tour from Casablanca, we offer a city tour in Marrakech. You will have a full day exploring Marrakech with our local guide. The visit starts with Koutoubia Mosque and Graden Majorelle that is designed by Jacques Majorelle. Also, you visit Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs, and Menara Garden. Next, you move to the main square of Jemaa El-Fna and the old Medina to discover crafts. After all that, you enjoy the sunset on the terrace of a cafe that looks down in the square. A night is at the same Riad.
Day 3: From Marrakech to Dades Valley
After breakfast, we leave Marrakech to Ait Ben Haddou. It is an old Berber fortified village where you can walk up its adobe Kasbah. Many movies have been filmed here before on this unique and UNESCO site. Then, you visit another site where movies take place as well. it is the Atlas Studios in Ouarzazate. After that, we drive to Skoura village and stop in Rose Valley. In this Valley, you explore rose products and enjoy the valley. We finally end the day in Dades Valley for a night.
Day 4: From Dades Valley to Sahara desert
We start our Sahara tour from Casablanca this fourth day, we head towards the Sahara of Merzouga. Thus, we drive you to Todra Gorges after breakfast. It is a natural oasis in Tinghir town. After that, we have a visit to Touroug and Jorf villages. Secondly, we pass by Erfoud and stop in the Merzouga desert. There, you have mint tea rest for a while then ride your camels to the camp. You will enjoy the sunset in the middle of the desert and enjoy time at the camp. Local will entertain you with music around the fire. And you spend a great night under the starry sky.
Day 5: From Merzouga to Fes
Our team will wake you up early for a magical sunrise view. A hot shower and a delicious breakfast are at the camp. We then meet to resume our 5 days Sahara tour from Casablanca. We will depart to Rissani, Errachidia, and enjoy the Ziz Valley view. And we drive along the Middle Atlas Mountains. There, we visit Cedar Forest and Ifrane.
